PLANET B by Luca Casini

The Planet was designed in 2010, at a time when the squared handle had not yet appeared on the market. The idea was to create a linear and seemingly sharp-edged handle that, in reality, felt soft to the grip, with imperceptibly curved surfaces and an ideal proportion of volumes in terms of aesthetics and functionality. The result is a product has a prominent rectangular section, softened by rounded edges, which not only improves the ergonomics, but also facilitates the handle’s producibility by moulding.
