LAMA L by Gio Ponti
'L' for Long, is essentially a longer version of Gio Ponti's LAMA which was originally designed in 1956 when Gio Ponti was designing a handle for the Pirelli skyscraper in Milan.
The geometric simplicity of its shape, so thin as to resemble a blade (or 'lama' in Italian) offers a counterpoint to the carefully studied definition of the radii that soften the sharp-edged profile of its flat contours.
