Darmstadt is the sister product to the Jena lever handle.

Philip Watts was influenced by a recent hotel project in the German City of Darmstadt that gave this piece its name.

Supplied in pairs, Darmstadt lever handles are unsprung and designed to be used with sprung latches.

An escutcheon can be cut-out in the backplate subject to mortice dimensions, and a separate escutcheon is also available, both at an additional cost. Contact us sales@spiggy.com.au for more info.

Shown here cast in brass and finished with a semi aged patina, Darmstadt is also available in bronze.

More Details

All Philip Watts Design products are handmade in Nottingham, England. As the sand-casting process is not an exact science, these dimensions are provided as a guide only and we strongly recommend that doors are marked out and drilled to the physical handle.

All handles are made to order with a lead time of approximately 4-6 weeks.

About the designer

At the tail end of the early nineties recession in the UK, and shortly after graduating from Nottingham University, Philip set up a small workshop and started to create unique, sculptural, cast metal candlestick holders and sold them into local furniture stores.
Since then, he has designed over 700 products, handmade from the purest forms of brass, bronze and aluminium.
